Heartbreakers

Dad and I posing. Why, 'cuz its what we do. Ladies and babies watch out. My dad is allergic to t-shirts because he has muscles (insert sarcastic eye-roll from mom and sarcastic groan noise). He says that when I grow up and get big muscles I will not want to wear shirts either.

But if my mom has anything to do with it, she will keep me bundled up for as long as she can :)

I'm a Growing Boy

My doctor's appointment went well. Or as well as it could considering I got THREE SHOTS! :(
Here are my stats:

Weight: 17lbs 8.5oz. (average for a boy of my height)

Height (or would it be length since I don't really stand, but oh well): 27.5 inches long-I'm pretty tall for my age.

Head Circumference: 17.5 inches (My head is big-that means I am smart).

Then...dun...dun...dun....

I had to get three shots: ugh

Chilling on the examination table waiting for my temp reading

OUCH!! I got a cool Sesame Street Band-Aid out of this though

Dad helping me get dressed.

Still in shock

My mom cried like a big 'ol baby and took pictures. My dad laughed at her. She is so weird. She did hug me and give me a big kiss after it wall all over though.

Whatchu' talkin' bout Mom

I do not like surprises. Especially those that begin with "David, you have to go the doctor's". At my age, a wise 6.5 months, going to the doctors is a euphemism for, "You are getting a shot, a lot of them, and they are going to hurt". Mom and Dad say that it is for my own good and they want me to remain healthy. Whatever. As you can see I was not amused by this news.

Didn't I just go to the doctor like 2 months ago?!?

I will update everyone on my stats later.

Hair! Flow it, Show it...Long as God can grow it!

My hair is finally growing back. I was born with a head full of it. See!?!

Me @ 1 day old. (photo taken by Ms. Cristin).

Then I had some sort of baby male patterned baldness and my hair grew into a pretty funky mohawk. I had no hair on the sides, very little in the back, and a curly mass on top. Apparently, my father's hair grew in this exact pattern when he was a baby, so I guess it is hereditary (what did I tell you about my really extensive vocab?). If my mom can find a picture of him when he was a baby she will post.

Today, I think my hair is making a comeback!

I'm not only a client....I'm the playa president

My mom found the title of this blog based on a song from the musical Hair. She thought she was being funny and creative. Hmmmmm....try again. from now on I name my own blogs.

Rest of Weekend- My mom is a stalkerazzi

I went to church yesterday and I got to wear my cool blue sweater for the first (an possibly last since I am growing so fast) time. Pair this with my brown corduroy pants and I was sharp. I had a little accident with a bottle of milk and my pants hence no photo of the complete outfit.

Then my mom wanted to get all paparazzi on me. After church, After I had eaten. I was not in a picture taking mood....

Please, help me! I just want to take a nap. What is mommy looking at?

...As evidenced by the following photo take a mere two minutes (literally) after the one above.

See, a man cannot even get his rest.

Finally refreshed, I had tummy time. I am getting so much better at this and my parents think that I will be crawling rapidly in no time. No irritability today, my guns were nicely soothed by my endless supply of Orajel. Not much happened today, I chilled and played. I had a busy week, so I needed to rest before it started back up again.

So it was off to bed for me. I have gotten pretty good at soothing myself to sleep. I could have fallen asleep sooner had my mom not decided that she wanted another photo shoot.

Now I told her I was tired. She just won't leave me alone. This is just plain mean.

I mean if you insist on taking my picture, mom, here you go.

It is kind of funny, I look like my dad when I am sleepy, but like my mom when I am awake. Hmmm, what do you all think?

New Food Alert

Tonight I feasted on Beech Nut Butternut Squash. The squash was good, much better than the peas.

I am going pretty big and strong and when I go to the doctor's on the 5th, I'll see how much weight I have gained. Last time I went to the doctor's on January 2nd, I weighed 16lbs and was 27.5 inches long. My dad is hoping that I have broken 20lbs. He wants me to be the first baby bodybuilder. Needless to say, my mom is not to keen on this idea.

Straight Chillin'

This weekend has been great. I relaxed. Increased my personal best during at home tummy time. I do have church on Sunday, but other than that I have been in all weekend with my mom. My gums are bothering me, so I hope these teeth come in soon. I'm trying to chew on everything in site. My vibrating teether is working well though.
